Promotions and offers were sourced manually by one full time team member.   It took all week to identify and build the offers and was very poor at identifying the target distressed stock.

We developed an automated tool to identify the target stock, discount it and format offers in MS Word for each sales channel.   The resulting process could be run in 15 minutes on a Monday morning and was more effective at producing targeted offers.

After a corporate merge the migration of flight and accommodation stock would have taken too long to manually re-key into the new system to hit migration milestones.    In many cases the data would not cleanly migrate as it was in a messy and incompatible format.

We automatically loaded a large percentage of the data for the migration.   Some examples were a planned 8 week manual load of flight stock which took 2 days to complete automatically and a lates price migration which could not have been done without complex mathematical analysis and data transformation.

In two planned, massive data migrations up to 80 heads were needed to manually re-key in system data.    Previous migrations performed in this manner had introduced a massive number of errors and drained resource.

Through the use of our unique technology and techniques only 2 of our consultants were required to load  the required data with fewer errors and dramatically improved delivery times.

Lates bed buying was a complex process crossing resort, trading, systems and outsourced finance teams.    Resort data quality was poor and communication was via excel spreadsheet copies from team to team.    The resulting process was chaotic and difficult to manage and control.

We built an shared web tool which managed the complete workflow and signoff process.   We enforced quality checks and validation at the point of entry in resort to fix the problem downstream.   We integrated with the Finance target rate database to produce MI to manage incentive payments to resort purchasing  staff.

Changing pricing levers such as free kids flags was a manual task for 2 people full time, a 1-2 day lag to amend and was also error prone .

We built a tool that linked with the pricing and revenue management systems to automatically action required changes.   Changes could be made within 30 minutes each morning with minimal manual intervention.    We then linked with the database to audit the changes each morning to ensure consistency.

After a corporate  merge, flight stock was managed over 3 businesses by a single team.    It was a 4 month window before an automated solution on the reservation system could be developed.   There was limited resource to successfully fluid stock across businesses and this was a major issue.

We built a tool that linked with the database and used a keyboard emulator to action the required stock moves based upon some simple business rules.   This development bridged the gap and allowed the business to fluid stock effectively in this period and transition to the long-term solution.

There were issues with the accuracy of on system data and resulting revenue leak.   Some examples included overlapping supplements,  duplicate supplements and incorrect flags.    Some of these issues had a significant revenue implication.

We built a tool  that analysed the database each morning to quickly diagnose faults and proactively identify the issues.   This quickly identified the issues and stabilised the system.    This has continued to place a “harness” around the reservation system to reduce data errors and manage risk.
